‘Arrival’ is a soaring celebration of the renewal, energy and life that comes with the spring season. In this large-scale public art installation, two flocks of origami-style birds chase each other through the sun-drenched atriums of Macquarie Centre’s fashion run, frozen in a colourful moment of play.

The birds, crafted in 3D and modelled with timber, chase their flock leaders: two 4.5m wingspan, multi-coloured centerpiece sculptures, which dive towards each other in an imminent explosion of energy.

The physical installation was accompanied by an Instagram-based augmented reality experience, where centre visitors could watch the flock come to life and even have a bird land on their shoulder.
